As part of the requirement set by ITSO, ISL was required to phase out new issuance of Mifare® Classic Customer Media from its ITSO Operating Licence by 31 December 2009.
Of 216 ISL TCAs (excluding Greater London Councils), 213 required a switch to alternative customer media. All 213 TCAs have now successfully completed a switch to alternative customer media in accordance with their bureau or in-house equipment providers. Reading retains derogation until 31/12/2010, whilst Bracknell Forest and Nottingham City issue CMD2. All ISL ISAMs (apart from those allocated to Reading) have received Class 3 messages to prevent new CMD1&3 shell creations.
ISL thanks all who contributed to this successful phase out programme, further documentation on this topic may be found under Documents & Links.
